SILKE BISCHOFF were an iconic band that left a massive legacy and were mournfully remembered far beyond the electronic and goth scenes that they championed particularly in Germany during the 90s. Their albums are regarded milestones until today, but internal friction, legal issues, and most of all the tragic passing of one of its founding members, Felix Flaucher, has left their works in a limbo for many years. The compilation "Tears - A Collection of Silke Bischoff Songs" is the first step in making their oeuvre available to the public again. This hand-picked selection of classic tracks has been diligently and respectfully restored with a new master by renowned producer Olaf Wollschläger, who has worked with MESH, YELLO, MILÚ, MELOTRON, and BEBORN BETON among many other greats. This compilation even contains a previously unreleased track from the archive featuring Flaucher’s vocals! SILKE BISCHOFF were originally founded by Axel Kretschmann and Felix Flaucher as a gothic and dark wave project in 1990. The band name, SILKE BISCHOFF, initially caused controversy in Germany as it was inspired by an 18-year-old victim of the 1988 'Gladbeck hostage crisis’ that tragically ended in the death of the young woman. Following an acrimonious split that was healed just before the passing of Flaucher in 2017, the band went onto a long hiatus. At the 2025 edition of the prestigious Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Axel Kretschmann revived SILKE BISCHOFF with a celebrated stellar show in front of a packed hall. More concerts have been announced and more SILKE BISCHOFF materials will be carefully restored and become available again both in digital and physical form. The legend has returned!
What is reality? This fundamental question has haunted philosophers, scientists, and artists throughout the centuries. With the arrival of virtual reality, this thought experiment has only become even more urgent and maybe even essential for humankind's survival. Who better to give a devious artistic answer to this conundrum than Belgian dark electro duo MILDREDA with their monumental double album "Realities"? Mastermind Jan Dewulf is exceptionally qualified for this task among his peers as the Belgian musician holds a degree in philosophy. While the previous album "Blue-Devilled" explored hell as defined by French existentialist Jean-Paul Sartre, the amused voice of Albert Camus whispers through the tracks of "Realities". In tune with their deeply human subject, MILDREDA deliver their most emotional album to date. The band introduces colours and emotions rarely associated with a genre defined by cold, hard electronics. The Belgians are pushing their sound markedly beyond the traditional boundaries of dark electro. Although, Canadian EBM influences remain audible as well as additional Belgium sonic flavour, MILDREDA again break into new musical dimensions. The Belgians also gave extra space to include prominent guest vocals from a compatriot, SUICIDE COMMANDO's Johan Van Roy, and Constantin "Breñal" Warter of German cult act CALVA Y NADA fame. With "Realities", MILDREDA do not only deliver their most ambitious and innovative album both lyrically and musically yet, but also their most accessible record so far. Check it out!
What remains entirely true is the fact that the UK duo has a nearly uncanny knack for writing electronic hits that are as elegant as they are captivating. "The Truth Doesn't Matter" bursts out like a sparkling firework while subtly referencing three decades of electronic music spanning from GIORGIO MORODER, YAZOO, and DEPECHE MODE via GARBAGE and MASSIVE ATTACK to more contemporary artists. At the same time, MESH always maintain their easily recognisable and unique musical identity as well as the trademark sounds that they have cultivated since their beginnings in the early nineties. With "The Truth Doesn't Matter", MESH climb yet another rung on the ladder leading to electronic music heaven. Each song wriggles its way happily into the brain and sticks around leading to spontaneous whistling of melodies and the public singing of extremely catchy chorus lines. You have been warned: "The Truth Doesn't Matter" is highly infectious and leads to a happier life!
Sonic darkness and a harsh musical experience have always been part and parcel of the industrial genre. FLESH FIELD are taking this a step further by adding cinematic orchestral elements to their distinctive sound. On their sixth full length – counting in the self-released 2011 instrumental album "Tyranny of the Majority" – the US-industrial act displays a supreme mastery of their musical subject. A feeling of hard, cold fury permeates "On Enmity", which is hardly surprising given the current state of the world and an artist who has achieved a master's degree in international policy studies with a focus on counter terrorism. Thematically, mastermind Ian Ross circles back to his original themes as "On Enmity" explores post-trauma and abuse as well as the perseverance to endure without relief or redemption. With "On Enmity", FLESH FIELD take their trademark sound into the present and future. Whether hammering the album's massive beats out on headphones or gladly giving in to magnetic pull towards the dance floor, "On Enmity" presents the well matured and more experienced FLESH FIELD at their very best!
Due to high demand, limited vinyl editions will be added to the catalogue. The EP contains guest contributions and remixes from prominent musicians of renowned acts such as MINISTRY with whom DIE KRUPPS had successfully toured in the US and Canada earlier in 2025. The two eponymous tracks of the EP also offer a first glimpse at the upcoming new album to be released in 2026. DIE KRUPPS have left a massive mark on the German electronic music scene and created a strong impact around the globe. And they are not done with continuing their work at all. Although in the 45th year of their fascinating career, DIE KRUPPS are ready to take on the world with their forthcoming new studio album. For 45 years, DIE KRUPPS have been synonymous with innovation, energy and uncompromising attitude. What Jürgen Engler as the driving creative force and composer and the visionary lyricist and sound artist Ralf Dörper have created (although these roles have never been mutually exclusive) is more than just music – it is a movement, a soundtrack for rebellion and change that has blurred the boundaries between EBM, industrial and metal. They have meanwhile been joined by drummer extraordinaire Paul Keller and as the latest addition, guitarist Dylan Smith, who is well-known from his time with the legendary THE SISTERS OF MERCY. Smith brings a breath of fresh air and a special dynamic to the group, taking the band's already powerful sound to a new level. In their 45th anniversary year, DIE KRUPPS present a first taste of the musical delicacies to come with the EP The "Will nicht - MUSS! / On Collision Course"!
With their debut album "Alpha State", OMEN CODE deliver the sound of the future – and the future is grim and dark! Their future is also firmly built upon the remains of the past. Certainly constructed to fill the dance floor, the international duo channels the bleak, cold precision of mid-tempo FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY and the cinematic story-telling soundscapes of John Carpenter electronics into a thrilling sound that is both resurrecting a classic 80s vibe and also fresh at the same time. OMEN CODE were originally intended as a one-time project by Kevin Gould. The engineer, programmer, and lyricist was a member of the English Industrial EBM trio JOHNSON ENGINEERING CO. together with Sean Bailey and Ian Hicks, which released the album "Unleash" in 1988. He went on to found the electro-industrial act ELECTRO ASSASSIN with Ian Taylor. When vocalist and lyricist Agi Taralas was hand-picked from a stack of applications for the frontman position, the chemistry between the two artists proved so productive and strong that Gould and Taralas decided together to turn OMEN CODE into a permanent project that would also aim to perform live. The vocalist had already left his mark on the scene in a joint project with German electronic musician Stefan Böhm under the moniker OUR BANSHEE that released an album entitled "4200" in 2017. Whether you want to indulge in shady dreams and evoke sinister futuristic images in cinemascopic visions or just move to dark electronics on the dancefloor, OMEN CODE offer the perfect soundscapes for both approaches to their music with the grandiose debut album "Alpha State"!
Although the musicians had known for a while that their beloved friend and colleague was losing his epic struggle with cancer, the realisation of it actually happening landed with such a massive impact that nobody ever could have prepared for. Exactly a year after this dreadful day, COVENANT have announced the "Andreas EP", which is the Swedes' first release in nearly a decade. The EP is a tribute to the dear friend and colleague lost but also intended for charity as all proceeds will be going to Andreas Catjar-Danielsson's widow and their two children. "Andreas EP" contains five experimental tracks including two cover versions by YAZOO ('Winter Kills') and LEE HAZLEWOOD ('A Rider on a White Horse'). COVENANT were conceived in the city of Helsingborg in Sweden's southernmost province of Skåne, only a short boat trip away from Helsingør on the Danish side of the water in 1988 by a bunch of young lads that were inspired by the flourishing scene of European electronic music spearheaded by bands such as DEPECHE MODE, KRAFTWERK, THE HUMAN LEAGUE, and FRONT 242 to name but a few. COVENANT chose their name as a symbol of the especially strong bond of friendship that they shared. Throughout their outstanding career, which is currently spanning nine acclaimed studio full-lengths and two live albums, COVENANT have always moved forward, searched for new exciting ways of expression, and pushed the boundaries of electronic music. Emotional intelligence combined with excellent musical craftsmanship, and a knack for catchy tunes has brought the Northern Europeans to the forefront of electronic music and made them a household name of the scene. Dependent Records support this charity with all their hearts and will waive all proceeds from the "Andreas EP".
Behold the "Octagram"! For FÏX8:SËD8 the number 8 is more than just another digit. When the 8 just turns by a little in the context of the German electro industrial project's sixth album, it becomes the symbol for infinity. The number 8 is also reflected in the structure of the album, which consists of 8 songs with a playing-time of 8 minutes. The new songs break out from the classic verse and chorus formula. Freshly introduced odd time signatures and polyrhythmic experiments add to the overall progressive feel this creates. "Octagram" features all the signature elements and sounds that define FÏX8:SËD8: The album is as playful, complex, and melodic as its predecessors. The drums push even a bit harder than before, while the vocals are even more diverse on "Octagram". Vocal samples consist mainly of recitations quoting the last words of persons that were about to receive the death sentence. With "Octagram", electro industrial shooting stars FÏX8:SËD8 once again push the extent of their own musical dimensions as well as the limits of the whole scene. "Octagram" is truly a groundbreaking milestone in the evolution of Martin Sane's electronic industrial darkness!
TWICE A MAN planted the seed for "The Coloured Breeze Is a New Dimension" with the song 'Dahlia', a 'new' track that was written to complement the compilation album "Songs of Future Memories". For three years, the Swedish dark electronic trio fertilised and nurtured the germ bud until it had taken firm root in their musical heritage and began to send offshoots to find new sonic spots beyond any previously built garden walls. "The Coloured Breeze Is a New Dimension" is an organic entity that creates something new by re-combining its musical DNA in various ways. As a result its tracks blossom in many hues of electronic colours. TWICE A MAN have always been pioneers. They spearheaded electronic music in their native Sweden. Long before it was fashionable, the Swedes positioned themselves as environmentalists. Musically, they have been lovingly described as "Ultravox on weed – also melancholic but without the saccharine pathos" or "like a sad Gary Numan, but with a warm, organic touch". There are also gentle echoes of TANGERINE DREAM, KLAUS SCHULZE, and THE HUMAN LEAGUE among many other possible references. When singer, guitarist, and keyboarder Dan Söderqvist teamed up with synth player Karl Gasleben in 1977, the duo formed COSMIC OVERDOSE as the first electronic band in Scandinavia, which grew into TWICE A MAN. During their remarkable career, the Swedes released a multitude of full-length albums that include special projects and two compilations. They also played countless shows, and went on to create a soundtrack for 7 full-evening theatre performances at The Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, music for movies, exhibitions, dance performances, and computer games. The natural world remains as a strong presence in the lyrics and sound of "The Coloured Breeze Is a New Dimension". It is the musical equivalent of TWICE A MAN seeking comfort by allowing their minds to wander into nature, art, and towards friends and books to get away at least for some time from modern evils.
The Swedish melancholic synth duo has used the time well to hone their musical prowess and to think hard about how they wanted their unique sound to come across in the present. As a result of this intense thought process, the stunning album "A Star in Orbit Still" combines everything that made the band great and generated a dedicated and loyal following that eagerly awaited their return during all those years with a contemporary sound design. Channeling their trademark melancholy and Nordic knack for captivating melodies, THE NORTHERN TERRITORIES did not even shy away from covering LANA DEL REY's iconic track 'Say Yes to Heaven' and to make it theirs. When the Swedish duo disbanded after the release of their third full-length "Satellite People" in 1999, they left behind many a broken heart in the electronic music scene that was mourning the loss of a one of a kind band with a unique sonic appearance. THE NORTHERN TERRITORIES' combination of outstanding songwriting with a strong melancholic Nordic tint as well as semi-acoustic, semi-electronic instrumentation created their very own version of a dreampop soundscape. With “A Star in Orbit Still', THE NORTHERN TERRITORIES are not just back on track as if nothing happened in the years of their absence, but the Swedes return on top of their game and fully ready to climb new peaks!
SO HERE WE ARE, FINALLY, PRESENTING YOU WITH THE BEST ALBUM WE WILL PROBABLY EVER MAKE.

The liner notes of "A Worthy Compensation", Beborn Beton's first album since 1999, speak volumes. Such self-confidence is not common for a band that has been silent for so long, yet insinuates that they have by no means been idle in the meantime.
When Beborn Beton's contract with their old label Strangeways was fulfilled at the turn of the millennium, the trio could realign freely. At that point the Essen-based group of Stefan Netschio (vocals), Michael Wagner (electronics) and Stefan Tillmann (programming, electronics) had established themselves as a successful act between electronic Pop and EBM, touring both in Europe as well as North America with hits such as ‚Another World', ‚Lost', ‚Little Robot' or ‚Torture'.
During the following break, they made a plan: to create an album without compromises in terms of composition and production. When this vision became reality, Beborn Beton showed a degree of consistency that, in hindsight, deserves respect. It took them more than seven years to work on new songs without cutting back on quality, carefully searching for an apt engineer and studio producer. Eventually and with the help of Olaf Wollschläger (u.a. MESH, Yello, In Strict Confidence, Seabound), they made an effort that displays maturity in all aspects and achieves the goal they had set for themselves.

"A Worthy Compensation" is a masterpiece of electronic pop - deep, timeless and melancholic with some well-dosed pathos. Songs and lyrics get under the skin in the long run, not least thanks to Olaf Wollschläger, who emphasises their strengths in an exceptional manner.
As for the album's lyrical content, the band says the following:
The carousel of life. The highs, the lows. The happy moments. The hardships:
"A WORTHY COMPENSATION… WHAT IS THAT? IT CAN MEAN DIFFERENT THINGS TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. BASICALLY, IT IS A REWARD FOR A TASK, A BURDEN OR A PAINFUL TIME YOU HAD TO GO THROUGH. SOMETHING THAT MAKES UP FOR AN EFFORT YOU MADE. SOMETHING YOU LOOK FORWARD TO WHEN TIMES ARE NOT SO BRIGHT.
FOR US IT IS THE GIFT OF BEING ABLE TO TRAVEL THE WORLD WITH FRIENDS AND PERFORM ON STAGE WHEREVER PEOPLE WANT US TO. IT IS ALSO THE JOY OF STILL BEING ABLE TO WRITE GREAT SONGS. OF GETTING BACK OUR CREATIVE FLOW WHEN WE THOUGHT WE HAD NOTHING MORE TO SAY."
The album is immediately accessible but reveals its entire potential only after repeated listenings. Also, the band harks back to its stylistic past despite the long pause. Due to Stefan Netschio's trademark voice and Stefan Tillmann's nifty songwriting, each track conveys a unique atmosphere without sounding rushed or forced - a rare thing for music from this genre. In this way, Beborn Beton naturally bridge the gap between the 1980s and current productions.
This is the stuff masterpieces are made of.
Simply put: "A Worthy Compensation" - Let the carousel begin.

In the year of the 25th anniversary of the album, MESH reissue this long out of print milestone in a beautiful artbook edition packed with bonus materials. MESH had been conceived in 1991 when lead singer and guitarist Mark Hockings and keyboardist and vocalist Richard Silverthorn found friendship and mutual common ground, leading to the formation of the band. Their musical partnership has ever since defined MESH's enduring legacy. MESH's creative synergy emerged from a complementary distribution of roles: Richard Silverthorn composed the music, while Mark Hockings penned evocative and profound lyrics, infusing depth and emotion into their soundscapes. MESH's musical journey commenced with the release of the "Fragile" EP in 1994 and the full-length debut "In this Place Forever" two years later in 1996. The major label release of "Who Watches over Me" in 2002 propelled MESH further into the limelight and marked another turning point. A surge of popularity across Europe, particularly in Germany, let the UK band climb higher up the festival billings. "Automation Baby" (2013) reached #33 on the German album charts and generally dominated European Alternative Charts.
DERO GOI is back with a bang! The former OOMPH! frontman delivers a massive statement of intent regarding his future direction as an artist – both musically and lyrically – in the shape of the double album "1984", which is packed to the brim with synth hits. "1984" is a fascinating fusion of beloved retro-synth sounds, synth-wave, and EBM with contemporary electronic elements, and even a dose of his former life as a rock and metal musician. DERO GOI, who has always been recognised as an outstanding songwriter, has honed his craft to an even sharper edge. This massive collection of songs will make people dance and sing along, and it will fix catchy tunes into their minds that are bound to last for years to come. DERO GOI remains true to his unbending will of carrying on as a nonconformist artist. Always outspoken and never shy to share his views, his coming out as a Born Again Christian who is still critical towards organised religion and his declared libertarian political leaning have provoked a wide range of reactions. Those include massive obstacles to overcome in finding a label, a booking agent, and he even had to go through already confirmed shows being cancelled. This poses the question: how tolerant is a scene that prides itself of greatest openness to any social class and lifestyle when those values are being put to the test? Are freedom of the arts and freedom of thought only for those, who conform to currently popular ideals? Of course, even words have consequences and there are limits to any freedom, but should those apply to an artist who stands firmly on the ground of his country's constitution and is not breaking any laws? What is freedom worth, if it does not entail the right to dissent? DERO GOI begs to differ and that is not a crime. Before DERO GOI, who was born as Stephan Musiol on April 16, 1970 in the German city of Wolfsburg, founded OOMPH! in 1989, he already played in a band with his friend Thomas Döppner aka OOMH! guitarist and co-founder Crap at the age of 15 while both were still attending high school. His musical influences display an open mind to stylistic diversity as DERO GOI names among others D.A.F., NITZER EBB, FRONT 242, THE CURE, FAITH NO MORE, KILLING JOKE, EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN, AC/DC, DEPECHE MODE, EXTRABREIT, KRAFTWERK, THE BEATLES, ELVIS PRESLEY, and ABBA. DERO GOI has embarked on a course towards a more electronic direction than most of the songs that have previously come from him. "1984" is the testimony of an artist who is using a wide range of influences but who has even expanded his widely respected ability to write extremely catchy tunes. Whatever the listeners will make of this massive contribution to the scene, DERO GOI will never be a singer who holds back or accepts to be told to shut up. Whether you love "1984" or not, what you hear is what you get!
With their EP "To the Stars", BEBORN BETON follow directly in the wake of their ninth album "Darkness Falls Again". With three new tracks and four remixes, the German synth pop trio is widening the musical range of the album, while staying true to its spirit both in lyrical content and music. There is more than one way to listen to BEBORN BETON's ninth album "Darkness Falls Again": it is possible to just dance and enjoy contemporary synth pop hymns that have a solid musical base in the golden 80s with a dash of cool 90s influences. Catchy tunes and mature songwriting combine to form a sonic joyride. Yet BEBORN BETON also put their finger right on the pulse of our time and speak out against misogyny, sexual discrimination, and environmental destruction. BEBORN BETON were founded by vocalist Stefan Netschio, keyboard player and drummer Stefan Tillmann, and keyboard player Michael Wagner in 1989. The trio set out with the declared aim to keep synth pop relevant and give it meaning. Following their first two regular albums "Tybalt" (1993) and "Concrete Ground" (1994), BEBORN BETON joined renowned acts such as WOLFSHEIM and DE/VISION in a new label home. Having conquered Germany, the three electro-musicians rapidly expanded their realm abroad with the 1996 full-length "Nightfall", followed by "Truth" in 1997, and "Fake" (1999) that gained the Germans international acclaim by critics and fans alike. By the time, "Rückkehr zum Eisplaneten" ('Return to the Ice-Planet') was released in 2000, BEBORN BETON had firmly positioned themselves as a headlining act within their scene and toured all the strongholds of electronic music. Yet heavy touring and the highly demanding creative output of so many excellent albums in quick succession took their toll. After the release of "Tales from Another World" (2002) and an exhausting US tour, BEBORN BETON went on an extended hiatus. 13 years later, BEBORN BETON returned with a new album on Dependent Recordings to the delight and surprise of their still huge following. "A Worthy Compensation" (2015) was showered with accolades from the relevant magazines. Having learned from previous experiences and not to fall back into a relentless production cycle, BEBORN BETON took their time to write another masterpiece. "Darkness Falls Again" has all the ingredients that make synth pop great. Catchy songs that make the legs twitch, a dash of melancholy, a pinch of irony, and a knife-tip of anger – music with a meaning. BEBORN BETON have again delivered music with a meaning with their latest album and this continues full steam ahead on the "To the Stars" EP. Welcome back again, BEBORN BETON!
"The Machine in the Ghost" marks HAUJOBB's impressive tenth studio album that is again different from all its predecessors. The Leipzig based duo plainly refuses to do the same thing twice. What sets "The Machine in the Ghost" apart is the prominent use of fieldwork recordings to create the sounds for this album. To achieve the desired effects, HAUJOBB used a mix of software and hardware – the latter in the shape of everyday items. This deliberate nod to a time with less software and more analogue shifting of the dials complements the theme of "The Machine in the Ghost" with a retro touch, yet without indulging in mere nostalgia for its own sake. The album revolves around the highly charged relationship between mind and matter, analogue and digital. When HAUJOBB were founded as a trio in the West German city of Bielefeld, their main influences came from the Vancouver school of industrial, in particular SKINNY PUPPY and FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY. This is audible on their early full-length "Homes & Gardens" (1993), but it did not take HAUJOBB long to become themselves regarded as figureheads of a modern electronic industrial sound. On the following albums, "Freeze Frame Reality" (1995) and "Solutions for a Small Planet" (1996), the Germans moved away from their Canadian roots and began to amalgamate IDM (intelligent dance music) with industrial and EBM. This catapulted the Germans onto the international scene and gained them cult status in the US. After HAUJOBB became a duo, they continued to have a strong impact and in particular their 2011 self-released album "New World March" is widely regarded as another milestone. With "The Machine in the Ghost", HAUJOBB have created another exciting chapter in their remarkable career. At the very beginning of the next industrial and creative revolution ignited by the furious rise of artificial intelligence, HAUJOBB still have their metaphorical musical fingers right on the pulse of time.
Deriving their name from the psychiatric terms "fixated/sedated", the German project founded by Martin Sane embarked on their musical journey with two self-released albums that have long been sold out and remain much sought after by collectors. The debut "humanophobia" arrived in 2006 and was produced by HAUJOBB's Daniel Myer, while the sophomore full-length "dormicum" that came out in 2009 was self-produced. FÏX8:SËD8 established their own soundscapes by continuously moving away from their musical paragons, which in the beginning were mainly Canadian cult acts such as SKINNY PUPPY and FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY. FÏX8:SËD8 came into being with the impressive concept album "humanophobia" that dared to artistically deal with one of the greatest crimes in the history of mankind. After visiting Cambodia and one of the so-called killing fields and former internment camps of the Khmer Rouge regime (1975-79) under Pol Pot, Martin Sane exorcised the haunting images of the communist genocide that killed a large part of the population through the creation of particularly dark electronic music. The music remained dark but there was also an obvious evolution expressed in a more focused songwriting and refined style when the second album "dormicum" started to circle in the electro industrial underground in 2009. With each following album reaching a new high-water mark in terms of songwriting and production, the calls for a reissue of the first two releases became continuously louder. This eventually sparked the idea of an artbook collecting both titles. Furthermore, the collaboration with PYRROLINE thought leader Arnte and his keen skills of production and mixing had already benefited "The Inevitable Relapse". This made him the obvious choice for a remaster of both first albums. Luckily, Arnte accepted the challenge and expertly executed the job. At long last, the legendary first two FÏX8:SËD8 albums will soon be available again. Get ready to return to the early days of Martin Sane's electronic industrial darkness with "humanophobia:dormicum".
